Wally Hammond, founder and present-day Managing Director of Hammonds Scenic Tours, is a Wellington icon in his own right, having operated Hammonds Scenic Tours successfully for 50 years this year. He and his company are very highly regarded by travel professionals both offshore and throughout New Zealand. Wally's enviable experience in the tourism industry is no match for any other Wellington tour operator!

Although we are Wellington's Original Private Sightseeing Company, by no means do we operate by traditional standards!

* Yes, we operate our tours on coaches - though we use small coaches, which are personal and interactive. So our passengers get all the comforts of coach travel, but with personalised service.
* Drivers are well presented and experienced, and will provide you with informative, yet entertaining commentary, showing you their passion for Wellington.
* Best of all, there are countless photo opportunities! Our city and region is strikingly photogenic. We will always stop for you to wander around and practice your photography skills.

Tours run daily of Wellington City and Coastline; Kapiti Gold Coast Tour; and Palliser Bay Seals, Wine & Lord of the Rings Sites. Customised private tours throughout New Zealand on request. We are also conference/corporate transport specialists, and provide airport/venue transfers.
