Commissioned by King Alfonso XIII in 1912, the newly restored Westin Palace Madrid is set near the Prado, historic monuments and some of the best tapas restaurants in town. It was ranked as one of the world's best hotels by Condé Nast Traveler's 2010 Gold List.

We've thought of everything you need to have a relaxing stay. Whether visiting us for business, leisure or both, you will find extensive facilities at your disposal, including several meeting rooms, restaurants, shops, a WestinWORKOUT® gym, beauty parlour and solarium.

The 467 guest rooms and spacious suites have been updated with all modern conveniences and with the Westin Heavenly Bed® and Heavenly Bath®. Rooms are exquisitely decorated with antique furnishings and original mahogany and plaster details.

Tempt your taste buds and elevate your senses at our onsite restaurants. The Westin Palace, Madrid sets the table with two delightful eateries, La Rotonda restaurant and the refined Asia Gallery—considered Madrid's best Asian restaurant. The Palace Bar is perfect for cocktails, an aperitif before dinner or a cup of coffee, and also offers the "Bistro" menu.

Your room card is your key to the WestinWORKOUT® Gym. Located on the 7th floor, you'll find it is perfectly equipped with a modern gymnasium, sauna, massages on request and a solarium. Open 24-hours a day, the WestinWORKOUT® is the perfect place to work away the stress of the day. Complimentary to hotel guests.

You will find many of Madrid's most interesting shopping areas within walking distance, by the Old Quarter. International firms, boutiques, and exclusive shopping is only a short ride away.

Our concierge team stands ready to assist guests with dinner reservations, tickets, floral arrangements, and any other needs they may have. The hotel does not provide babysitting services, but the concierge can provide names and telephone numbers to guests. Our concierges are experts on the area, and can provide detailed information and transportation options for attractions such as museums, government offices, and entertainment venues.

Review:   Recommended for: International luxury crowd

Pros: This is the top luxury hotel in Madrid. It, along with the Ritz has the best location in town. Set between The Prado, Tyssen and Reina Sofia you cannot beat this place for the art scene. Very tradtional luxury. Rooms are spacious and have all the stuff. Public areas are grand! For someone wanting a big splurge....this is the place. Service is wonderful and friendly. This is a Starwood property and Virtuoso so it is best to book this with me to get the amenities and benefits.

Cons: A bit pricey....but hey it's the Palace.
