As tourism reduces over the winter months, Heartland Hotel Glacier Country goes into 'hibernation mode.' Lower guest numbers reduces the need for two hotels in Fox Glacier township so our guests are ensured a warm welcome – right across the road – at the historic Heartland Hotel Fox Glacier. The Heartland Hotel Glacier Country will be closed for the winter season from the 1st of May and reopens 1st of October. Please note our Heartland Hotel Fox Glacier and Scenic Hotel Franz Josef will be operating through this period to accommodate your West Coast accommodation requirements.
