Special Herzog Winemakers Table Tours
Marlborough Wine Tours will collect you from your accommodation in Picton -9.30am or Blenheim, 10am and begin your journey through the iconic vineyards of Marlborough. Your guide will choose some of the very best venues to begin your day and then you will be taken to Hans and Therese Herzogs famous vineyard for your vineyard tour. After a warm welcome by one of Herzog winegrowers often including Hans or Therese, you will be taken on a tour of the famous organic, single vineyard to understand wines and how they are grown. From the vineyard you will visit the on-site winery where you will gain an insight into how these great wines are crafted .
Lunch at 'The Winemakers Table'
The Winemakers Table is part of the greater Herzog family to which you are invited to become a part of. Indulge in a casual lunch on the veranda of the beautiful Mediterranean garden bistro with a tutored tasting with many tips on wines. The chefs prepare great soul food to match grand wines from the organic single vineyard: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Riesling, two vintages of Pinot Noir to compare, Zweigelt, Merlot-Cabernet and Montepulciano....up to 9 wines will be opened.! Feel free to prolong the experience, and stay for coffee, dessert or relax in one of the loungers with a glass of dessert wine or whatever you fancy. ( Normal Bistro prices apply)
