Overview

Sugar Ridge hotel is on the wonderful west coast of Antigua and is nestled into a natural hillside bordered with sugar cane. Sugar Ridge is a new luxury boutique hotel and with its elevated position captures the most stunning and panoramic views of palm lined beaches, the turquoise Caribbean Sea, and the neighboring islands of Redonda, Nevis and St. Kitts which sit like gems upon the horizon.

All of our bedrooms are grouped into sets of four, each with its own entrance and radio frequency activated door locks. The unique groupings and wonderful landscaping provide privacy, yet each has a spectacular view. The upper floor rooms have a large veranda, dining deck and day bed, whilst the lower floor rooms have similar facilities plus a private plunge pool. The romantic muslin draped king sized four poster bed is the centerpiece to the room, and our interior designer has made clever use of natural tones, contemporary styles, colonial accents and rich, dark woods. State of the art amenities and technology which includes IPod docker, electronic safe, LCD flat screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access are available in each room. Convenient access around the resort is provided by the hotel's concierge service with environmentally friendly electronic buggies.

Carmichael's is our more formal restaurant and sits atop the ridge, overlooking the whole resort and out to sea. To say that the sunsets from here are sensational is an understatement. There are views literally everywhere. We built a swimming pool next to this bar on purpose. It allows our guests to enjoy an authentic cocktail whilst lazily cooling in the pool and being amazed by the views, realizing just what the Caribbean really is all about. Adding to this experience is the delicious food served here. Matt, our Head Chef for Carmichael's cleverly devises his menu and changes it with the seasons. He offers fusion dishes where the Caribbean meets and greets different Continents and enjoys creating cuisine when the local fishermen drop in with their fresh catch.

Sugar Club is completely different to Carmichaels offering true alternate dining choices. This restaurant and bar are informal and have quite a buzzy, busy feel. They overlook the resort's two swimming pools and dining is both indoors and outdoors on the covered verandas. The food on offer by Head Chef Marvis keeps on coming all day long - from breakfast through to dinner. As well as some Caribbean specialties there's burgers, pizzas, pastas, wraps, steaks and fish. Sugar Club has quite a good local following so you'll get to meet some of our great characters who come to enjoy the Tapas and Sushi on offer. There's live entertainment at least three times a week which we're sure you'll enjoy. Guests can choose where to dine and whether to go for our room and breakfast, all inclusive or the odd lunch and dinner options.

The Spa occupies the whole of the ground floor of Sugar Club - it's a serious and impressive amount of space. This building is in the centre of Sugar Ridge and houses the Fitness Center with 30 pieces of Cybex equipment, Aveda Concept Spa with 4 Treatment Rooms, 1 of which are for couples, Hair Salon, Manicure & Pedicure stations and last but not least a Yoga, Pilates Studio. If the intention is to keep fit, tone up, relax, enjoy an holistic treatment or be pampered then we have it just waiting for you. Professionally qualified individuals are here to facilitate your objectives. There are two swimming pools with sundecks, cabanas and fountains - Sugar Club is open all day for your enjoyment.

Visit bustling Jolly Harbor Marina just two minutes away from where numerous boating excursions, scuba diving and sport fishing trips depart.
