Overview

This special tour is presented by our fabulous guides from Chacchoben

We are excited to be able to offer this special opportunity to have our guests visit Tulum escorted by the fabulous guides from Chacchoben. Their depth of knowledge of the Maya civilization is incredible.

Instead of spending hours in a crowded bus with 60 of your shipmates, why not enjoy a small, fully-escorted tour of Tulum? The guides do a fabulous job of bringing the ruins alive for our guests.

Tulum, meaning "fence or wall", is one of the most visited Mayan sites in the Yucatan. The impressive ruins with its backdrop of the turquoise waters is just breathtaking and a great photo op.

You will travel via air-conditioned van for the 45-minute ride to this famous ruin. Once you arrive at Tulum, you will have about a 10 minute walk to the entrance of the site. For approximately 1.5 hours, you will be tantalized with tales (and facts) of the ancient and modern Mayan life. We'll discuss the culture as it was during the times of Tulum. Also taking time to examine the inscriptions and murals on the temples; describing the decoration, rich iconography and its meaning to the Maya.

From the moment you depart your ship or hotel, you will become an explorer in a new land. The passion of your guide and the stimulation of the sites, scenery and experiences you will have will, most likely, make this the most memorable day of your vacation.

- Please wear walking shoes and bring your camera, sunscreen, and a hat.
- There is a fee of $4 for the use of video cameras at this site. Tripods are not allowed.

This trip requires a minimum of 4 people. We will do our best to match you with others.

Days offered: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Departures:
  • 09:30 AM, duration: 4 hours
