Although we feel that Mexico's close proximity is terrific, I believe that travelers sometimes take it for granted. Whether it is near or far, it is a different culture and all that goes along with it, so a trip to Mexico can be as unique as you want it to be. If your goal is to read three books and count your accumulated swizzle sticks at the end of your stay, well, Mexico is a great place to do that, but if you want to explore a sun-bleached paradise, count multi-colored tropical fish, and perhaps climb a pyramid, then Mexico is a great vacation destination.

Get ready for a fun-filled day at Xel-Ha, the world's largest natural aquarium! Relax on the white sand beach, swim in the bluest of waters, or enjoy unbelievable snorkeling and tubing in the park's 22 acres of lagoons, coves, and inlets that are home to hundreds of multi-colored tropical fish.

If you're looking for a thrill while exploring Xel-Ha, why not dive off a cliff or swing out on a rope over the river and then jump into the warm waters of the cenotes below? Or, you may prefer to take it easy and float down the Xel-Ha River in an inner tube or hang out with your kids in the natural children's playground.

Xel-Ha's natural attractions include a one-of-a-kind floating bridge, a Mayan wall, two grottos, and more.

After your exhilarating day at Xel-Ha (park closes at 5:30 p.m.), you'll be transferred back to your hotel.

- Please wear your swimsuit, light sportswear, walking shoes, and a hat.
- Please bring a towel and your camera.
- Only eco-friendly sunblock is allowed in Xel-Ha. You may purchase it there.
