This intimate private island resort boasting only 44 extremely private villas and residences is known for its "Intelligent Luxury." Great care has been taken to blend the resort into the environment while providing unmatched luxury for every guest. This is barefoot luxury at its best.

Soneva Gili offers just 45 sumptuous over-water villas, including 7 Crusoe Residences and The Private Reserve reached only by boat. Each villa has not only been designed and built with the utmost attention to detail, but are also environmentally-friendly and reflect the harmony of life by the water's edge. Each has its own private water garden and sun decks, and the bathrooms have a separate shower accessed along an open-air walkway.

Dining experiences include a romantic, moonlit dinner on the deck of your villa, a sunset champagne cruise on a traditional dhoni, or dinners in the underground Gourmet Cellar - the settings are as memorable as the cuisine. From the fine wines to the excellent malts, we have achieved a reputation of providing our guests a unique dining experience.

An extensive a la carte menu provides a holistic experience with traditional pampering and signature therapies in addition to doctor-assisted Ayurvedic programmes and yoga. Private Spa Suites are an option with several villas.

Soneva Gili is set on the private tropical island of Lankanfushi in the Male' Atoll, one of 19 atolls that stretch over 800 kilometres through the Indian Ocean, and is one of the 1190 islands which are the Maldives.
