A unique blend of a Robinson Crusoe island, in splendid isolation with all the modern facilities and service you would expect from a deluxe resort.

Fringed by white sand beaches that shelve gently into the azure blue sea, legendary Soneva Fushi looks like a Robinson Crusoe idyll, however the finest creature comforts are always at hand. Its remoteness is central to its charm, offering the ultimate in barefoot sophistication for which the oft borrowed expression – No News No Shoes was coined.

Polo-style shirts and summer dresses and sarongs are ideal. A jacket or wrap may be suitable for winter, when temperatures can be as low as 23 degrees Celsius. Shoes are not practical on the soft sandy jungle paths, so we suggest that, like your hosts, they be avoided.

Soneva Fushi offers just 65 accommodations, which capture the very essence of a luxurious castaway fantasy. The Jungle Reserve and the two Retreats offer the premier accommodation. Each villa opens to its very own stretch of white sand beach just a few steps away, whilst many also include Private Sea Water Swimming Pools. Each bathroom extends to a private garden, whilst utmost care is given to the environment.

Soneva Fushi dining experiences are diverse and memorable – from gourmet menus across a variety of cultures and cuisines, to organic offerings, simple barbecues and romantic escapades – and all complimented by an extraordinary wine cellar and innovative bars.

A refreshing menu of holistic and traditional treatments conducted by highly skilled therapists using all-natural products compliments the Six Senses signature journeys in addition to Thai, Balinese and doctor-assisted Ayurvedic and nutritional programmes. Private Spa Suites are an option with several villas.

The water landing is at the Soneva Fushi airport pontoon, from which guests are transferred by motor boat to the island's jetty and warm greetings of management and hosts.
