Overview

Established in 1928 by hardy folk who loved the game, Russley is now 83 years old and stands as one of New Zealand's premier courses. Our history contains some interesting events, from a war time role housing airport security personnel, the plane crash of 1957 to the many prestigious golf tournaments including the New Zealand Open.

Our most famous golfing son, Ross Murray, was one of New Zealand's outstanding amateurs in the same era as Bob Charles. Today a magnificent clubhouse, opened in 1994, overlooks a great championship course.
